Services for agency personnel are designed to increase local capacity to support individuals with disabilities to establish small businesses

• Training on developing high quality business plans

• Technical assistance on selecting business structure, planning for start-up, accounting issues, and determining supports needed for business to be successful  

• Training on assessing feasibility using a simple "proof of concept" approach

• Training and technical assistance on Social Security Administration treatment of self-employment income and use of work incentives such as Plans for Achieving Self-Support (PASS) to achieve small business ownership

• Long term technical support, consulting, trouble-shooting and problem solving for agencies on any issue related to self-employment for individuals with disabilities
